About South Fork Foods

South Fork Foods is a regenerative farm rooted in principles of ecological balance, community resilience, and intentional stewardship. Nestled on a fertile stretch of land along the South Fork Broad River, the farm is dedicated to cultivating vegetables, fruits, and herbs in harmony with the environment.

We practice closed-loop farming—minimizing outside inputs, composting, rotating crops, and building healthy soil through natural methods. Everything we do is done by hand and with care, using practices that reflect our values: seasonal rhythms, pollinator habitats, cover cropping, and human-scale tools.

South Fork Foods is part of Missing Mule Farms, a collaborative farmstead where small-scale farmers, beekeepers, egg producers, and wild game stewards work side by side. This shared stewardship fosters innovation, mutual support, and a deeply rooted sense of place.

Our goal is not only to grow food—but to cultivate connection: between people, land, seasons, and traditions. Whether you join our CSA, visit for a farm tour, or share a meal grown on this land, we welcome you to be part of something nourishing and enduring.
